The Science Museum of Virginia is bringing another exciting exhibit to Richmond, and you don’t want to miss this one.

And be sure to register our contest for a family pack of 4-tickets to Robots + Us too!

What differentiates humans and robots?  Kids (and adults!) can explore what it means to be human by examining how lifelike machines emulate four major categories of human capabilities:

  1. moving
  2. sensing
  3. thinking
  4. being

Take a closer look into robotics, computer science and biomedical engineering as you encounter interactive components, videos and much more. This interactive exhibit is engaging and educational.

  • Test the senses of a light-seeking robot as you guide it through a maze by controlling light exposure.
  • Compare your own abilities against an industrial robot as you race to assemble a jigsaw puzzle.
  • Explore the dynamics of walking machines as you create your own crawling creature and guide it through obstacle courses.
  • Try to fool facial recognition software by disguising yourself with a fake mustache or wearing sunglasses.

Don’t take our word for it – head out to the Museum for the big opening of Robots + Us on May 11, 2013.
