Primrose Schools has been voted as Richmond’s #1 resource for parents by Style Weekly readers in the category of Best Preschool or Daycare.
And there is a good reason for that. They offer outstanding child development services, including Private Kindergarten and much more.
In June 2012, Primrose Schools became the first organization to earn AdvancED™ Corporation Systems Accreditation based on the New Standards for Quality Early Learning Schools, the highest-level accreditation an early learning school can receive. This ensures each Primrose school meets high standards specific to early learning, development and care. The Standards focus on how well schools prepare children for future success, as well as how they address the health and safety of children in the school.
You can check them out for yourself and register your child to participate in this state-of-the-art child development center. All Primrose area locations are registering for fall classes (see list of all locations and contact information below).
Primrose Atlee Commons is holding an Open House on Saturday, July 20, 2013 which will also include a preview for their Private Kindergarten program on the same day. Their Kindergarten teacher will be available for parents to meet and to discuss their program from 10am-12 noon.
There will be:
There is also a sweepstakes to win a one-year scholarship to a Primrose school. Click here for details and to register to win by July 31, 2013.

Checking out: Primrose Student, scans items purchased for the Central Virginia Food Bank
Demonstrating their commitment to giving to others, the Primrose School at Westerre Commons and the Primrose School of Twin Hickory recently helped feed hungry families throughout the Richmond area. On Friday, November 16th students donated 391 pounds of food to the Central Virginia Food Bank.
“Children from Primrose Schools across the nation participated in food drives over the past month, but they did much more than simply bring in items from their parents’ pantry,” says Heather Moore, co-owner of both West End Primrose Schools. “Children, ranging in age from 2 to 11 worked hard doing chores at home in order to earn money for families in need. Children at our two locations alone, collected over $400.”
After counting all the money, Primrose school-age children made their shopping lists, focusing on items needed by the food bank, and finally took a field trip to the Short Pump Walmart Supercenter. The project was a great way to have children of all ages come together to make a difference for families in the Richmond area.
This donation comes when American families find themselves in critical need as men, women and children face hunger. According to Feeding America, a total of 36 million Americans struggle with hunger, including 13 million children.
Giving back to the community was a major focus of the annual food drive, as well as a key component of Primrose Schools’ Balanced Learning® curriculum, which blends teacher-directed and child-
initiated activities with special emphasis on character development. The Caring and Giving program is a nationwide initiative, with participation from more than 245 Primrose Schools across the country and helps students understand the value of generosity and creates a hands-on approach to math, nutrition and planning skills.
