Visit Richmond Bargains website and find out how to save and have fun.

Alison Brown (RVA Bargains)and Eleanor Ross (SavingourWay) both lead the Couponing with the Pros workshop series at Kroger.  Building on a very successful frugal challenge among friends last year, she and Eleanor decided to open the frugal challenge up to all who wish to participate.

Save time and money "Saving Our Way"

Here’s how it works: Purchase as many Back to School items as possible for $10 between now and Aug. 21 using only $10. All donations will go to the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Richmond.

Kroger will reward the top 3 “super savers” with gift cards for $200, $100 and $50.  They will also match the total value of donations up to $1,000.

With only $40 between them, the four friends who participated last year collected more than $500 worth of school supplies.  Brown and Ross hope that by opening the challenge to the public they will be able to make an even bigger impact this year.

Participants will need to download the Challenge Tracker Spreadsheet to track their purchases & should keep all of their receipts.  Donations can be delivered to The Boys and Girls Club at Kroger on Thursday, August 25. Kroger will host a celebration and announce the contest winners that afternoon from 1-2pm.

Download the Challenge Tracker Spreadsheet and find more contest rules and instructions on the RVA Coupon Pro Facebook page.
