The organization includes an orchestra of more than 70 professional musicians, the 150-voice Richmond Symphony Chorus and more than 200 students in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra programs. Each season, more than 250,000 members of the community enjoy concerts, radio broadcasts, and educational outreach programs. The Richmond Symphony is partially funded by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

About the School of Richmond Ballet Ensembles

The School of Richmond Ballet Ensembles provide a performing outlet for our serious students as well  as create a community outreach group representing The School. Each year, auditions are held and interested students from Middle Level I through the Upper Level Programs are grouped into two performing groups. The SRB Ensemble II is comprised of Middle Level students as a training group to prepare for the SRB Ensemble, our elite group of Upper Level Students. These students must be very dedicated to their training and passion for dance as they work four to six days in class each week in addition to their rehearsals.
