Everyone has heard the phrase “work smarter, not harder”. The phrase refers to finding the best way possible to get a job done instead of trying to accomplish a goal in an inefficient manner. As it turns out, the phrase can be applied to parenting. In this Share Saturday video, we see many dads finding funny and ingenious ways to get some parenting tasks accomplished. We hope you enjoy these dad hacks!
The first clip shows a dad holding a fishing rod. No, he isn’t going fishing. He has tied a ball to the fishing line and used it for his son’s batting practice. With this contraption, the dad can provide batting practice without having to chase after balls.
The next video shows that vacuums are not just for cleaning. The dad uses his vacuum to hold his daughter’s hair so that he can tie it in a ponytail within seconds.
Entertaining your kids can be very challenging and tiring. The next three clips show some clever ways to keep your kids entertained ranging from an indoor sledding area to a walker with a hanging toy.
Mealtime can be a frustrating time for both moms and dads. One dad entices his daughter with a piece of candy and replaces it with a spoonful of baby food at the last moment. While it may work in the beginning, we have a feeling this trick won’t last very long.
The last three videos show some creativity as dads use power tools and even a remote control car to keep their children occupied. We especially like the “automatic” bouncy seat!
