2019 Memorial Day Events in Richmond

Memorial Day EventsMemorial Day is a chance to reflect on the many sacrifices that generations of brave men and women have made as members of the United States Military. While some of these soldiers have returned to their families, both as ongoing active service members or as retired veterans, others still have never come home. It is these fallen soldiers that we like to honor in particular with special Memorial Day events, while also paying tribute to those who served and continue to serve so that we might enjoy our many freedoms.

While many families choose to gather with friends for cookouts and special celebrations on Memorial Day, others like to be part of Memorial Day events that actively honor our Armed Forces. Fortunately, the Greater Richmond area offers a wide variety of Memorial Day events – from fun-filled festivals to moving ceremonies that honor veterans from every branch of the military.

However you choose to celebrate the day, you’re sure to find Memorial Day events here in Richmond that will not only offer fun for the whole family, but will also allow you to reflect on the importance of this special day.

And as always, if there’s an event that we might have overlooked, be sure to let us know! Send us an email with event details to cs@richmondmom.com and we’ll do our best to get it on the list.

In the meantime, to all the military personnel, both active and retired, we here at Richmond Mom offer our eternal gratitude for your service!
