Family-Friendly New Year’s Eve Events in Richmond 2019

Family-friendly New Year's Eve events 2019 There was a time when New Year’s Eve meant sparkly outfits, bubbly drinks, and a post-midnight party. But along came kids, and well, suffice it to say, most of us are doing good to stay up until 10pm, much less midnight. And even if we do manage to make it to the final countdown, we get the none-too-gentle reminder on New Year’s that kids don’t sleep in just because we stayed up. That’s why it’s always good to have a list of family-friendly New Year’s Eve options at the ready.

Richmond offers a number of great family-friendly New Year’s Eve parties, celebrations, and special events to help you and your family start the new year off right, i.e., well-rested. From activities that start in the morning, to those with more flexible schedules allowing you to celebrate, but head home for a somewhat normal bedtime, you’ll find that having a family-friendly New Year’s that’s fun for everyone is easier than you might think.

Take a look at our list of family-friendly New Year’s Eve events below and find one that works for you and your family. We’ve got options for a range of ages and have listed them according to start time to help you plan ahead. And of course, if you know of a great family-friendly New Year’s Eve event here in Richmond that we may have overlooked, let us know! Tell us about it at and we’ll add it to the list!
