Library Story Time

Our story times are developed by trained staff and focus on the skills every child should know so that when they enter school they are ready to learn to read. Age appropriate books, songs, music, finger plays and flannel boards are used to capture the attention of the young child.

Our craft and activity sheets extend the story time experience and provide children a chance to develop their fine motor skills, build self-esteem and gain positive emotional responses to learning.

Free DIY Baby Food Demo- Hip to be Round

Starting solids is a fun rite of passage for both parents and babies… but those little packages can feel really wasteful not to mention it gets expensive quick!

Relay Foods, Franklin Goose and Hip to be Round are hosting a free baby food demo at the Hip to be Round store in Carytown.

You’ll learn how to make your own baby food, hear tips, watch the process and taste the final product.
In addition to learning a thing or two you’ll have a chance to meet other moms, win door prizes and get a discount on nursing apparel.

Friday Night Music & Menu at New Kent Winery

Please join us as we welcome Jocelyn Oldham to the winery for our Friday Night Music & Menu. With her amazing voice, Jocelyn performs popular tunes that span many genres and appeal to many generations.

Uncle Gus’s Mediterranean Cuisine will be on site during this event with his delicious menu items available for purchase.

Our Friday Night Music & Menu is free and open to the public. Reservations are not required. Please, no outside food during this event.
