April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This month of awareness provides an opportunity for individuals and communities to unite to raise awareness and advocate for consensual sexual interactions and believing survivors. Sexual assault affects everyone.  The research shows that in the United States, 1 in 5 women and 1 in 71 men have been raped in their lifetime and nearly 1 in 2 women and 1 in 5 men have experienced other forms of sexual assault at some point in their lives. Sexual assault is not only a criminal matter; it is also a public health issue that affects our community. Please join us to learn more about SAAM.
