Family Arts Day Celebration Featuring: Theatre Heroes, “Call of the Wild”

October 7, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Jack London’s classic tale comes to life in a one-man rendition performed by gifted storyteller Noel Gaulin. This multi-media adventure mixes classic storytelling with 180-degree projected illustrations to tell the story of Buck, the magnificent offspring of a St. Bernard and a Scottish Collie. Kidnapped from his lavish life on a California estate and sent to work as a sled dog during the great Klondike Gold Rush of the 1800s, Buck fights to survive and becomes the most famous dog in the history of Alaska. This thrilling tale of courage and survival features a unique mix of Philip R. Goodwin’s classical illustrations from the book’s first edition, period photographs, and new drawings and animations created by artist Michael Rae accompanied by an original score from singer/songwriter Graham Weber.

Recommended for ages eight and up.
