Homeschool Week at Science Museum of Virginia

September 11, 2018 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every day that begins at 9:30am, repeating until September 14, 2018

The Science Museum of Virginia is kicking off a new school year with a week of special programming for homeschool families!

From September 11 through September 14, we will offer two sessions of programming a day, one aimed at budding scientists (grade equivalent of K – 3) and one for scientific explorers (grade equivalent of 4 – 6). Each day will cover a different topic and will include an in-depth hands-on workshop, a Dome feature and time to explore the Museum’s exhibits.

For a breakdown of the schedule, the theme for each day and the Dome feature, please see this flyer: https://www.smv.org/storage/app/media/PDFs/Homeschoolweek2018.pdf.

We appreciate that families may want to stay together. When registering, pick the session that suits your family best and the educators will tweak activities as needed.

Each session can accommodate 50 guests. Advance registration is highly encouraged at https://www.smv.org/upcoming-events/homeschool-week
