Jim Boatwright, Senior Field Superintendent

Jim Boatwright is a Field Superintendent who knows how to get things done on time. He has been providing leadership in the field for 41 years. Jim is skilled at driving work to meet productivity, quality and safety expectations. His solution-oriented attitude creates a strong atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork with the general contractors and his entire team.
Jim has been with J&L since 1996, 11 years in the role of Superintendent. Prior to joining J&L, Jim worked for Johnson Brothers Corporation for 25 years. Jim has experience in building dams, coal fire power plants and all aspects of bridge construction. He has been a member of the Local 512 Ironworkers Union since 1970.
Jim is currently overseeing production activities on J&L projects. He was the supervisor for the Wakota bridge, 35W Bridge replacement and Highway 212 expansion projects. Jim has provided leadership on notable projects such as the Wabasha bridge, Minneapolis/St. Paul Airport Expansion and the Xcel Energy Center.
Jim lives in Andover with his wife Mary. They have five grown children and seven grandchildren.
