Here in Richmond, we are fortunate to have nice weather for most of the year. Spring, summer, fall, and even winter beckon families to the many parks, hiking trails, and outdoor activities that exist throughout the city and surrounding counties. But while fair weather permits plenty of outdoor play, there are always going to be those days when we need an indoor option for keeping our kids entertained. It’s those days when the weather turns rainy, the summer heat becomes too much, or winter temperatures drop that we need indoor play areas – and we need them desperately.
If rainy days, uncomfortable temperatures, or any number of other obstacles leave you in search of a place where your kids can use up their vast stores of energy – without destroying your house in the process – then you’ll be glad to know that there are a number of indoor play spaces available for families in the Greater Richmond area. From bounce houses to bowling alleys, you’ll find a range of activities that are not only fun and affordable, but will also leave you and your kids happily exhausted at the end of the day.
We’ve put together a list of some of our favorite indoor activities for kids in Richmond, so be sure to check out the places below. Then if you know of a spot we missed, let us know! Drop us a line anytime at cs@richmondmom.com and tell us all about it.
