Get ready….get set….go!

It’s the Children’s Hospital Foundation 5K/10K Walk/Run & Kids Mascot Mile sponsored by American Family Fitness. The event is Saturday, October 8, 2011 at Children’s Hospital of Richmond, 2924 Brook Road, Richmond, VA. Sponsored by American Family Fitness, this year’s event is filled with lots of family-friendly activities and fun.

The race starts and finishes at Children’s Hospital and music is provided throughout the race course. There’s even a post-race breakfast, health fair, kid’s festival, decorated stroller contest, live music, and more.

There will be water stations, medical teams and emergency phones, and other safety measures taken to ensure a fun and safe event.

Decorate a Stroller

Decorate your stroller and you could win one of three great prizes. Judging takes place at the American Family Fitness tent just before the start of the race at 8:45 a.m.

The Mascot Mile starts at 8:30 a.m. for children 5-10 years old. At 9:00 a.m., the 10K starts and then the 5K starts at 9:15 a.m.

Visit the website to learn more. If you register before October 1, it’s just $10 for the Mascot Mile, $25 for the 5K/10K. After October 1, prices are $15, and $35 respectively. Register online here.
