The Banner Lecture Series, endowed in honor of Charles F. Bryan, Jr., is in its twenty-seventh year. Join us at the Virginia Historical Society (VHS) for, James Madison’s Gift: The Power of Partnership, on Thursday, April 30, at noon in the Robins Family Forum. (This lecture has been rescheduled due to the inclement weather forecast for Thursday, March 5.)

To reach his lifelong goals, James Madison blended his talents with those of key partners—Alexander Hamilton, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, and his wife Dolley. With those extraordinary partners, Madison sustained himself through his political rise, his presidency, and a productive retirement.

Tickets are $6/adults, $5/seniors and $4/students and children. Admission is free for VHS members. Tickets are available for sale the day of the lecture. If you have a Richmond Times-Dispatch press pass coupon from Sunday’s paper, please hang on to it.
