Japanese Red Cross Needs Your Help

Japan is living a nightmare.

Hear the word “Japan” and our hearts go out to all who live there, or who know someone who lives there.

The massive 8.9/9.0 magnitude earthquake that hit Japan on March 11, 2011 was devastating and still resounds in our minds. In the wake of this violent earthquake, they have also experienced and endured blackouts, fire, tsunami, and nuclear melt-down threats.

As we go about our day, enjoying the oncoming spring weather, spending time with kids and family, and simply living, Japan is in turmoil.

Radiation leaks have forced 140,000 people indoors and panic is gripping Tokyo as radiation spreads. Millions of people are freezing without electricity for heat and there is fear that radioactivity could enter their food chain. Water is compromised and more than 15,000 people are missing, while death surrounds the living.

If you are looking for a way to help those who have been affected by the earthquake, consider contacting the Japanese Red Cross Society. Donations are accepted in Japanese yen only and $20 is approximately 1600 yen. Donations are accepted from 100 yen to 50,000 yen.

The money goes directly to the Japanese Red Cross Society and will be used to support those affected by the disastrous earthquake and tsunami.
