Is There a Cure for Children with Diabetes?

Lewis Ginter hosts VCU seminar on children and diabetes.

Children with diabetes face many more challenges than other children when it comes to daily living. Nutrition, medication and activity are often impacted when diabetes is involved.

The Children’s Hospital of Richmond is presenting a seminar series featuring physicians who talk about current topics in health. On Tuesday, March 22, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m., Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens is hosting a VCU seminar entitled, “Is There a Cure for Children with Diabetes?”.

Dr. Gary Francis, CHoR’s Chief of Pediatric Endocrinology, discusses diabetes management options and innovative approaches designed to prevent or reverse diabetes in children.

The seminar is FREE, however, reservations are required. Light refreshments are provided and you can register by calling 804.828.0123.

Take advantage of this opportunity to help children live healthier lives today and in the future. The VCU Medical Center is just one more way to learn about healthy living.
