Children’s Museum of Richmond QR Codes Provide Parents More Education Through Play

Children’s Museum of Richmond – Central has launched a pilot program to help provide visitors with more information about activities and exhibits with the use of QR codes.

What are QR codes?  QR stands for Quick Response and is the black and white two dimensional bar codes you see popping up more and more places.  These codes are readable by certain bar code readers and smart phones*.

CMoR is using QR codes currently at three popular exhibits.  Parents/visitors can scan the code with their phone and will see a short video that helps maximize the experience of the exhibit sharing educational information as well as ways to bring the experience home and build on their trip to CMoR.

*You will need to have an App on your smart phone to read the QR codes.
