VirginiaOutside.com is a resource that encourages kids to get outside, be active, explore, and enjoy all that the world has to offer. It’s all done under positive adult role models and includes an opportunity for kids to discover their own abilities, stimulates self-esteem, and builds character.
Tree climbing, hiking, fort building, mountain biking, and more activities are right at their finger-tips. The fishing birthday parties have beme increasingly popular over the past year with customized fishing programs kids will love and remember.

- Mountain Bike Skills Clinic November 6, 2011. It’s a great time of weekend mountain biking. They meet at the shop at 1:00 p.m. and head to the James River Park to ride and be back at 4:00 p.m. Bikes and helmets are provided and boys and girls ages 8-13 years are invited. Cost is just $30.
- No School on November 8, 2011 for Richmond City, Henrico, Chesterfield and Hanover Counties. What a
great time to enjoy a morning of fishing and mountain biking at a private farm. The program is from 8:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. and they provide snacks and drinks. Pack a lunch and send the kids outside to play and learn. They will spend the day rotating between fishing and mountain biking, or focusing on the one they like best. Just $60 per participant and drop-off and pick-up is at the VirginiaOutside.com shop.
- Mountain Biking is an after-school program of the fall that runs through November 22. The program is from 2:15 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and pick-up an drop-off is at Tuckahoe and Maybeury Elementary Schools. Bikes and helmets provided. Check their website for details.
