Adults and kids will enjoy this fun opportunity participate in a 5k race and raise money for a very important cause. The 3rd Annual Jack & Abby 5k and Kids 1 Mile Race for the NICU is Saturday, June 23, 2012.

And kids will love the moon bounce, popcorn, snow cones, carnival games, awards and much more!

The race takes place at the Picnic Area at Lake Innsbrook, 4222 Cox Road, Glen Allen, VA.

Registration and packet pick-up is 7:00 – 8:15 a.m. and then the fun begins.

The goal this year is to raise $25,000 at the race to go toward the mission of sponsoring a room at the Bon Secours St. Mary’s new Guest House. This room would be exclusively for NICU families to stay while they are at St. Mary’s. The house is being built on their campus and would allow convenience as well as emotional support for these families.  Please email your friends and family so they can donate to support you as you RACE FOR THE NICU!

Event Details: Bring the entire family out to support families with babies in the Bon Secours’ Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Kids Fun Run. We even have a stroller division for those who want to include your tiniest family members in the race!

Jack and Abby Smith would have celebrated their 3rd birthdays this June. Please help us celebrate in their honor and help other babies who are in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit fighting for their lives.

Registration:

• 5K Run/Walk/Strollers: $30 online through June 21st at noon (credit card or check); $35 onsite (cash, check or credit card)
• Kids* 1 Mile:  $15 online through June 21st at noon (credit card or check); $20 onsite (cash, check or credit card) *4-12 years old

Join in the fun and do something good at the same time. What better way to “volunteer” to help others!
