The Magic Flute: Virginia Rep’s Children’s Theatre of Virginia kicks off 2013 with The Magic Flute on Friday, January 18 at Willow Lawn, 1601 Willow Lawn Drive, Richmond, Virginia. The show is part of the Acts of Faith Theatre Festival and will run through February 10, 2013.

Polar Express (film in IMAX®DOME) Saturday, November 17-Wednesday, January 23 - Based on the modern holiday classic written by children’s author Chris Van Allsburg, Polar Express follows the journey of a young boy named Billy who doubts the existence of Santa Claus. With a family who believes everything from the elves to flying reindeer are myths, Billy’s whole viewpoint changes when a mysterious train visits him on Christmas Eve promising to take him and other children to the North Pole. Young at Art at the VMFA. Moving Mobiles from 10am-11am and 3pm-4pm.

Garden Exploration for Families at Lewis Ginter. Children (all ages) with accompanying adult. Enjoy story time and a fun-filled adventure while exploring different areas of the Garden. We observe our surroundings using a variety of hands-on activities and take-home treasures. Themes change each month and new stories, activities and garden areas are introduced each week. Garden Explorations for Families is an excellent opportunity for homeschoolers!

ComedySportz Richmond is holding auditions for High School troupe members Thursday, January 31st at 7pm for our High School league troupe. We’re looking for excellent team players, natural improv comedians, and those with an uncanny sense of comedic timing. Improv or theatre experience, but not required. You must be in high school currently to be eligible for the league.

National Go Red Day - It’s time to shout louder, stand stronger, and Go Red For Women. Join Richmond area churches, homes, and landmarks in painting the town RED by showing support for women fighting heart disease. Sign-Up for the National Wear Red Day Challenge.
