The Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU is April 25, 2013 right here at Richmond International Raceway.

When it comes to supporting local projects that make a difference in the Richmond community, McGeorgeToyota typically doesn’t spin its wheels.

The local dealership is hoping to drive a large turnout for this year’s sixth annual Denny Hamlin Short Track Showdown, which will benefit the Denny Hamlin Cystic Fibrosis Research Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU. The race, which is only 70 laps and typically features a dozen NASCAR drivers and celebrities battling on Hamlin’s hometown track with some of the best local Late Model Stock Car drivers, is set to take the green flag on Thursday, April 25, 2013.

The event at Richmond International Raceway has a family-friendly focus, as kids 12 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult. Tickets, which also include the Blue Ox 100 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race, are only $15 for loyal McGeorge Toyota customers. Tickets can be purchased in advance at McGeorge Toyota Scion or at the parts counter at the McGeorge Certified Sales Center.
