- Mom’s Nite Out – Pampering Moms! On May 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Virginia Center Commons will provide a free evening of relaxation and fun in honor of national Mom’s Nite Out™. The presenting sponsor of Mom’s Nite Out celebration this year is Rethink Varicose Veins. Komen Race for the Cure® Series, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, raises funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. 2013 marks the 16th Anniversary for Central Virginia’s Race for the Cure®! The Central Virginia Race was started to honor Jennifer Norvell Saunders’ mother, Joanne Norvell and since 1998 has raised over $5 million to fight breast cancer!
