Pre-concert festival fun starts at 10am so arrive early. The kids will love the Instrument Petting Zoo, games, and other activities presented in partnership with the Children’s Museum of Richmond and WCVE PBS.

Bring the Family

Bring the whole family to the Richmond Symphony’s Carnivals and Clowns on Saturday, October 26 at 11 am to experience Igor Stravinsky’s: Petrushka, a classic retelling of the Russian tale of a straw puppet that comes to life!

Carnivals and Clowns is a celebration of clowns and the circus. The story and the brilliant musical score make it appealing for kids and adults of all ages.  You will be amazed at how engaging this introduction to real concerts is for children.

This concert marks the premier of the Union First Market Bank Lollipops series for the 2013-14 symphony season, and is sure to bring smiles to the entire family. Join the acclaimed Richmond Symphony with conductor Erin R. Freeman and guest artist Drew Allison, of Grey Seal Puppets, for a musical experience that’s sure to delight those of any age.
