Richmond Youth Jazz Guild Performing in Concert with SFJazz

RYJGThe Richmond Youth Jazz Guild has talent, and they’re getting to show it off alongside all-star professional jazz musicians!

On October 26, the Richmond Youth Jazz Guild will perform as the opening act for the SFJazz Collective Concert at Christopher Newport University’s Ferguson Center for the Arts.

These students are no stranger to the limelight. The Richmond Youth Jazz Guild has travelled and performed all over the country from Boston to L.A. performing along with national music professionals such as Quincy Jones, Wynton Marsalis, Trombone Shorty and many others.

RYJG provides ensemble and private lessons, master classes, and summer camps, in addition to participating in competitions, and performances.   Many student from RYJG have been recognized for their outstanding talents, in fact, students have received $202,970.00 in music education scholarships.

The RYJG performs at the the Ferguson Center for the Arts on October 26 at 7:00pm; the SFJazz Collective performs at 8pm. Click here to purchase tickets.
