The Lion in Winter was first produced on Broadway in 1966, giving Rosemary Harris her first Tony win for Best Actress. The beloved play was later adapted into a movie starring Peter O’Toole and Katharine Hepburn and went on to win three Academy Awards including Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Musical Score. It also won the Golden Globe for Best Picture and Best Actor.
