Halloween Hoopla at CMor

imageFor some Richmond children, Halloween isn’t the highly anticipated night that it should be, because many neighborhoods still aren’t the ideal environments for trick-or-treating. It is often the city’s neediest children who miss out on the annual fun, and for this reason the Children’s Museum of Richmond (CMoR) is living up to its commitment to be a resource for the entire community by hosting its 10th annual Halloween Hoopla on October 31.
The scary parts of Halloween are meant to be fun and festive, not real enough to keep families in at night. With Halloween Hoopla, CMoR offers an atmosphere for safe and friendly trick-or-treating where kids and their families can enjoy an evening full of spooky fun.  And Halloween Hoopla is just one example of the many ways in which CMoR strives to meet the needs of every child in the greater Richmond community.
Last year, 4500 people came through the museum’s doors during the four-hour event, and this year the tickets are available through pre-sale. Children can trick-or-treat in a Spooky Village, play fun games like pin the nose on the Jack-O-Lantern, paint pumpkins in The Backyard, and so much more! If you’re interested in more information, please let me know! The event is $4 for adults and free for children (still need to reserve a ticket for them, which can be done pre-event or at the door).
