To Mama With Love

Anyone who reads this site probably gets that I care about charities, and one of the mantras I follow is, “to whom much is given, much is expected.” This doesn’t necessarily always point to monetary gifts, but gifts of time, publicity, caring, you name it.

Once in a while a very special cause will come along and catch my eye, and To Mama With Love happens to be one of those.

To Mama with Love is an online collaborative art project started by one mama who has a vision–Mama Lucy–to create homes and education for children in her village in Tanzania.

The site raises funds by allowing anyone wishing to honor a mother to create a “heartspace” where they can honor their mother with a written sentiment, visible on the site. For just $25, a donation is made, and all funds raised will be invested in a children’s home in Arusha, Tanzania envisioned by local grassroots changemaker, primary school founder & Epic Change fellow Mama Lucy Kamptoni.

In a world where we have so so much, it’s hard to imagine a child without a roof over their head or books to read. Share this if this touches your heart, too.

Epic Change is a 501(c)(3) US nonprofit.
