529 isn’t just a great way to to save for college–it’s  a day to celebrate: 5/29/11, that is. The VA College Savings Plan is hosting a bunch of great events to celebrate saving, the importance of planning, and higher education.

On Sunday, 5/29 The VA College Savings Plan team will be on-hand at The Science Museum of Virginia for fun games, give away prizes, and share the good news that saving for college and planning can actually ease the stress for families considering higher education. Join the fun from 11:30am-5pm.

One lucky baby will win out this year, too. The baby born closest to–but not after–5:29pm on 5/29 will receive a VEST account with an opening balance of $529!
