Only in America.
You have GOT to be kidding!
Hustler magazine has reportedly offered Casey Anthony $500,000 to pose nude in their magazine – sweetening the deal by also offering her a percentage of whatever they earn — which could net her millions of dollars.
(Pause to catch your breath!)
The fact that a woman who has been in the spotlight for allegedly killing her young daughter and partying for a month before even reporting her missing, and then being offered millions of dollars to pose nude is beyond comprehension. Larry Flynt says that he is being encouraged by book lovers across the country who keep asking “Why haven’t you offered Casey Anthony a chance to pose nude?”
Although Casey was acquitted of murdering her daughter, all evidence points towards the fact that she is guilty. Almost 100% of the country would agree that she’s guilty, and most likely including her parents if they were truthful. Even many of the jurors are sickened by the verdict.
Now to even consider that she may become a millionaire as a result of her crime and outrageous lifestyle is enough to make your blood boil. What message does this send to others who are contemplating the possibility of committing similar crimes, or making headlines through unfathomable acts against children or adults? How can anyone – including Larry Flynt – think that compensating Casey for murdering her precious, innocent daughter is reasonable in any way? Why would anyone want to reward her for her heinous acts? What benefit can be gained from seeing a child-murderer nude? What lawyer would want to represent this vile individual in negotiating a deal for any financial gain – or gain in any way?
It is a sad day in America when this type of person is rewarded, while those who work hard, care for their families, and help others in the community are struggling with a volatile economy. Financial markets are teetering as our government wastes time arguing and jockeying for positions for future elections instead of managing our debt, while families struggle to stay afloat, protect their assets, plan for their children’s college and future, and prepare for their own retirement.
And Casey walks away with millions.
What is wrong with people in our country? What makes some of them want to see criminals rewarded and set up on a pedestal for all the world to see? How can Casey be viewed as anything more than a terrorist herself – terrorizing her child, killing her, and doing who knows what to someone else in the future? How must the rest of the world view the fact that a person who commits such horrid acts against a child could be so popular and rewarded in a country that supposedly values life and peace?
There is one thing that gives us all a small bit of comfort in all of this, and that is the fact that Casey will ultimately receive her just punishment for what she has done. We do not have the ability to administer her punishment, but it will come in time. We have to hold on to that knowledge to cope with what we see happening.
What do you think think about Larry Flynt’s offer to pay her millions to pose in Hustler magazine? Let us know because what our Richmondmoms and grandmoms have to say really matters.
And in this case, we know they have a lot to say.
