Chances are that you know someone who battles the challenges of Autism. Dealing with Autism can be overwhelming, but there are many local Richmond resources and support groups that can help. Autism Speaks is hosting the 2011 Richmond Walk Now for Autism Speaks on Saturday, October 1, 2011 and this is a great way to get involved or access support from others dealing with the challenges of Autism.
This fun-filled, family friendly event helps fund critical research to find answers for those who suffer from Autism – offering help and hope. Autism Speaks is asking everyone to get involved – selling lemonade, creating a unique event, or walking in their upcoming event. There are plenty of ways to support them and you can also choose to support a walker and donate in their name. It’s easy to donate online and you can search for a walker by name.
Check out the event schedule for the walk and get involved today. It’s held at the Richmond International Raceway in Richmond, VA. There is no registration fee for walkers. You can purchase a $5 boxed lunch, get t-shirts or join the Grand Club based on your fundraising level.
