Just 15 Minutes of Exercise Daily Extends Life by 3 Years

Just 15 minutes of brisk exercise daily can extend your life.

According to the Fitbie website, just 15 minutes of exercise daily can extend your life by as much as 3 years. This is all based on research conducted on 400,000 people over 13 years who were studied in Taiwan. People who completed 15 minutes of exercise daily , similar to brisk walking, actually increased their lives compared with inactive people.

Based on this study, just 15 minutes of exercise also seemed to result in a lower incidence of cancer and helped them manage their weight.

It’s essential for everyone to participate in activities that get the heart rate up at least 15 minutes per day and for as much as an hour when possible. Starting with just 5-10 minutes per day and building up to a longer period of activity can make a huge difference in how you look and feel. Brisk walking, swimming, and biking are examples of brisk activity.

Given the results of this new study, there is just one more reason to get out and move for 15 minutes or more each day. If 15 minutes can extend your life by 3 years, imagine how much healthier you will feel with 30-60 minutes of daily activity — and how much the quality of your life will improve for even longer!
