LOVE Artwork Graces Lewis Ginter to Kick Off GardenFest of Lights

Virginia Tourism Corporation announced that the giant LOVE artwork debuted  at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden November 22 at 10:30 a.m. As part of Dominion GardenFest of Lights, Lewis Ginter displayed the LOVE artwork, which is part of the Virginia is for Lovers marketing campaign and promotes the message that love is at the heart of every Virginia vacation.

The artwork is approximately 16 feet long and more than six feet tall.  It has become a social media phenomenon at the Virginia Welcome Centers where visitors take their family picture and upload it to Facebook at www.Facebook.com/VirginiaisforLovers and Twitter using the #LOVEVA hashtag.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens will be the first attraction in the state to display the LOVE artwork.  To celebrate, Trip Heartmann, the official mascot of Virginia Is For Lovers, was on hand at the garden to join with local children to officially unveil the LOVE artwork as a preview of GardenFest of Lights, which opens November 25. Don’t miss this spectacular display of GardenFest of Lights  throughout December.
