Latin Ballet – Arts Education Day Camp 2012
A unique multicultural experience! The Latin Ballet is proud to present the 11th annual, “Arts Education Day Camp” at two locations, The Cultural Arts Center at Glen Allen and Richmond Center Stage. We strongly believe in the arts’ ability to inspire a child’s creative self-expression and intellectual growth. Designed for children ages 5-14, each two-week summer session explores various dance techniques including Latin Ballet, Salsa, Flamenco and hip hop, plus other classes such as dance theatre, dance history, Spanish language through Dance, drums/percussion, arts/crafts, technology and more. Students develop notable self-confidence, discipline and the joy of sharing skills; discovering a greater regard for dance and connecting dance forms to specific languages and cultures. Taught by professional instructors with years of performance and teaching experience, classes are held in professional studios, with each session culminating in a final performance based on legends and myths from Latin America.
