BLOOD DONATION SITE FOR THE VIRGINIA BLOOD SERVICES
During the July 4th holiday week, Virginia Center Commons is opening its doors to as a site for the Virginia Blood Services Blood Drive from July 2-6.
Donors may visit the area near JC Penney to participate and receive a free t-shirt as well as will be entered for a chance to win a $500 Visa gift card.
Need a reason to participate? Take a look at the following statistics courtesy of the Virginia Blood Services:
- More than 4.5 million patients need blood transfusions each year in the U.S. and Canada.
- One pint of blood can save up to three lives!
- Shortages of all blood types happen during the summer and winter holidays.
- If only one more percent of all Americans would give blood, blood shortages would disappear for the forseeable future.
