Get Kids Volunteering: Host a Lemonaid Stand to Fight Cancer

Richmondmom.com readers love to get involved with our community–we’re always receiving requests for ideas, and here’s a great one!

Anthem LemonAid is taking place this summer from Friday, July 20th – Sunday, July 22nd. Every participant will receive a FREE LemonAid kit and 100% of the proceeds benefit the oncology and hematology clinic at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU.

The program is a great first lesson in philanthropy and teaches your child the importance of giving back to others. Cups of LemonAid may sell for a $1 but over the past ten years, those $1 cups have turned into $726,000!

Your kids can set up stands in your neighborhood, at your church or at the community pool. If you’d like to see more foot traffic, register to host a stand outside the storefront of one of our retail partners: Walmart, Sam’s Club, Panera Bread or Kroger. Want to do a creative project in the kitchen with your kids?

Create your own lemonade recipe and show it off at the 17th Street Farmer’s Market!

Visit AnthemLemonAid.com and sign-up. Together we can make a difference and put the squeeze on childhood cancer in our community.
