Call Federal Credit Union to Sponsor Marathon

Call Federal Credit Union will serve as title sponsor of the Call Federal Credit Union Marathon, Jr., a companion race of the Anthem Richmond Marathon, American Family Fitness Half Marathon, and HCA Virginia 8K. The four races are hosted by Sports Backers, and the Call Federal Credit Union Marathon, Jr. is a kids running event open to children ages 4 through12.

The Call Federal Credit Union Marathon, Jr. will be held at Byrd Park on October 27, and will include half mile, one mile, and two miles distances. The event will culminate with a festival in the park. Additional details may be found at the Sports Backers website.

“Call Federal Credit Union is excited to partner with Sports Backers for an event and initiative which promotes a healthy lifestyle from a young age,” said Roger Ball, president and CEO of Call Federal Credit Union. “Participating in a major event like the Marathon, Jr. allows us to showcase our commitment to the Greater Richmond community.”

Proceeds from the four companion Marathon races support Kids Run RVA which promotes a physically active lifestyle to all youth in the Richmond Region. As part of Kids Run RVA, a special Marathon, Jr. initiative will reach Richmond’s underserved youth in Title I schools with programming before and after school.
