Watch as the Virginia Commonwealth University Department of Dance & Choreography display their most talented tap-dancers! Choreography by Melanie Richards, Associate Professor VCU, creator of more than 150 works in contemporary dance, rhythm tap, jazz dance, musical theater, and performance pieces.
“Come Dance With Us” features seventeen year-old violinist Delaney Turner, winner of the 2013 Richmond Symphony Orchestra League Concerto Competition. Currently in her ninth season in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra program, she first appeared as a soloist with the orchestra at age twelve. One of Delaney’s greatest delights is using her talents to serve her community, including appearances at numerous benefit concerts and local events as a soloist, chamber musician, and bluegrass fiddler.
