Richmond and the surrounding area is know for its’ many 5k, 10k, marathon, 1/2 marathon, muddy races, and much more. There is no reason not to get out and participate in fun walks/runs/strolls for some healthy exercise – and most of them have benefits for deserving non-profits at the same time. Free to Breathe Run/Walk  All proceeds help support the National Lung Cancer Partnership’s vital research, education and awareness programs. For more information, to register or donate, visit www.FreetoBreathe.org/richmond.

Forest Hill 5k – Run for the Hills! 9am – runners, walkers, joggers, strollers, and canine-types invited!

Hope 5k – Registration is at Hope Church and the run begins at the West Creek entrance at 8:30. Join us after for the Kids’ Mile and Family Festival at Hope Church. Our proceeds will go to support to The Fathered Fund: an adoption fund established through Lifesong. Join us for a fun morning and support our local community!

5th Annual Benedictine/Saint Gertrude 5k Challenge to benefit students

HOPE5k. Join us for a morning of fun at the 3rd annual Hope 5k on March 9, 2013. Registration is at Hope Church and the run begins at the West Creek entrance at 8:30. Join us after for the Kids’ Mile and Family Festival at Hope Church.

March 16

2nd Annual Westchester Shamrock 5K and 1K Fun Run will be held on March 16, 2013! Start time: 9:00 a.m. on Main Street. Enjoy free admission to the festivities, including music, sports demonstrations, food, and family fun. Stop by the Bon Secours Health & Fitness Zone for helpful tips and information, giveaways, and samples.

Richmond SPCA 11th Annual Dog Jog and 5k Run from 9am-1pm. As an early bird bonus, the first 250 Dog Jog registrants will receive a MARTIN’S reuseable shopping bag!

Sweet 16 Race for the Cure – Online registration will be available through 5 PM on Wednesday, May 8, 2013.

The Cap2Cap, or Capital to Capital, bike ride takes place on Saturday, May 11, 2013. It offers several rides to choose from: a “quarter century” 25-miler, a “half-century” 50-miler and a “full century” 100-mile ride.

5k Foam Fest with a mud run combined with lots of foam, huge inflated obstacles, army crawls, cargo-net climbs, and more.
