All Fired Up has a fantastic contest starting soon and you don’t want to miss it! It’s great for moms, kids, dads and anyone else. The winner is awarded $550, with $50 directly to the winner in a gift certificate, and $500 going to a local school’s art program of the winner’s choice.
Their 3rd annual “I Heart Art” contest this year starts in April. To enter, artists simply paint a coupe salad plate at one of their three studios depicting why they love art. They will accept entries from April 15- May 15, 2013. You can be as creative as you choose – let your imagination soar!
Voting and Prizes
Fifteen finalists will be selected and the winner will be chosen by votes through their Facebook page. The winner will receive:
- a $50 gift certificate
- $500 will go toward the art program at the school of their choice.
Last year Moody Middle was the recipient of the $500 gift. They will also have a second and third place prize this year. Click here to see great art pieces from previous winners.
Everyone who enters will receive a $5 gift certificate to All Fired Up. Richmondmom.com and All Fired Up love to support local art programs and this is a really fun way for everyone to get involved!
Enter to Win
Here’s how to enter:
- Go to All Fired Up or work with All Fired Up staff (such as at school) to paint what art means to you on a coupe salad plate between April 15 and May 15, 2013. You must fill out a contest application form when you create your piece. (Note: Contestants under the age of 18 must have parental or legal guardian’s consent to participate.)
- Keep a close eye on the All Fired Up Facebook page, because on May 20, All Fired Up will choose and announce fifteen (15) “finalists” from the entries! (Note: If a contestant is under the age of 18, All Fired Up will use the information of the parent or legal guardian.)
- Between May 20 and May 30, Facebook users will be allowed to vote on the fifteen (15) finalists by “liking” the pictures of their art.
- Then, on June 1, one (1) winner will be chosen based on the number of “likes” his or her picture receives. Two runners-up will also be chosen, and they’ll win $50 gift certificates to All Fired Up!
- All Fired Up will even host a party on June 6 at our Short Pump studio to showcase the plates created in the contest…so stay tuned for details as the contest continues.
