Help for Families with Young Children with Disabilities

Debra Holloway, the Director of Training and Technical Assistance with The Arc of Virginia, recently contacted Richmondmom.com with some valuable information – and what great timing! We have lots of moms asking about this type of assistance.

Debra works closely with families who have children receiving early intervention services and would be happy to assist families with questions or advocacy issues.  She is also a Medicaid Waiver Mentor and is able to help families learn about and access these services.  The Arc of Virginia is  having a “Getting Started” Training at their offices on Thursday, April 25, 2013 from 6:00p.m.-8:30 p.m. They will cover advocacy and important resources young families with children with disabilities should know about. See details below.
