Happy Birthday Children’s Hospital of Richmond

Happy Birthday Trace

Happy Birthday Trace!

In honor of Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU’s 3rd birthday, we’re celebrating the many children whose lives have been impacted by our doctors, nurses and staff. Over the past three years, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU (CHoR) has treated children like Trace, the young infant born with a life threatening congenital heart defect, ensuring he, along with other children, can celebrate many healthy and happy birthdays to come. In fact, thanks to the expert care and treatment from a team of CHoR specialists, Trace’s life threatening heart defect is now fixed and he was able to celebrate his first birthday with a Wiggles themed bash.

“CHoR helped Trace celebrate a healthier, happier birthday by saving his life. No ifs, ands or buts about it,” said Trace’s dad, E.C. “Fifty or sixty years ago he wouldn’t have lived to see his thirtieth birthday. CHoR gave him over 50 more birthdays.”

At CHoR, treating children is what we do; it’s our mission, our specialty and our passion. We help children thrive so they can get back to the important aspects of being a kid, like playing and enjoying birthday parties. Help us celebrate all of Richmond’s children by posting a birthday photo of your child on our birthday Facebook tab. In the caption, tell us how CHoR has helped your child celebrate healthier, happier birthdays for a chance to win a free children’s birthday party (up to $250 value). While you’re there, design a special cupcake in honor of your child and join us in wishing many more birthdays to all of Richmond’s children.

Happy Birthday CHoR!
