Mr. Moopoo, The Loveable Oversized Teddy Bear is coming to Chop Suey Books in Richmond on June 22, 2013
America’s favorite teddy bear Mr. Moopoo, star of the book You Me and Mr. Moopoo Makes Three, is back in the second book by author/illustrator Beth Herman, Mr. Moopoo in the Kitchen. She and Mr. Moopoo will be at Chop Suey Books in Carytown on June 22 at 2 p.m to read from her new book and sign copies. Bring parents, grandparents, and of course the kids to enjoy the fun!
Mr. Moopoo in the Kitchen is the story of what happens when the giant teddy bear begins to settle into his new home, and discovers the kitchen. The contents of the cabinets are just too interesting to resist, so he invites some friends over to share in his fun and mischief. In the end, Mr. Moopoo and his readers learn important lessons about rules, boundaries, and making music.
“If you are looking for a good children’s story, this is a great choice. It’s easily understood, with a whimsy that young ones love!” -Mitzi Perdue, author, lecturer and grandmother.
About Beth
Beth Herman is a local artist who has been painting and exhibiting her teddy bear portraits for nearly ten years. Her whimsical colored pencil drawings add charm and humor to her stories about life with a giant teddy bear, who goes from being part of the furniture to part of the family—just like the real Mr. Moopoo.
