Rainbow Station

Kids love summer camp – and parents love for them learn in summer. So why not do both?

You can – at Rainbow Station.

Camp Blue Sky is the perfect solution for Richmond area families this summer. Kids 5-13 get an age-appropriate Summer Camp program where they can do all the things they want and learn all the things you want them to learn. Camp Blue Sky is where kids have fun being kids. Our program provides a carefully designed Summer long growth experience, where campers make new friends, learn to respect the strengths and differences of their peers, and, together with our staff, develop pride for their community and foster the leadership skills needed to help others.

Day Camp Structure & Program

Camp Blue Sky is divided into three divisions according to the ages of our campers. While each division is involved in traditional day camp program, all of the activities are designed specifically to meet the developmental needs of the campers in each division. Within each division, campers are put into small groups based on age and gender.

“Juniors”

The junior division is for camper’s ages 5 and 6. This division will get a safe and nurturing introduction into the world of Summer Camp. Activities will be designed to reinforce positive behaviors and capture the natural curiosity of children at this age.

“Middles”

The middle division program, for campers ages 7 to 9, will harness the energy and enthusiasm typical of campers this age and challenge each child to experience success. Team building is a priority for the activities planned for this division.

“Seniors”

The senior division is for children 10 to 13. Recognizing that children this age need activities and time frames that depart from the traditional day camp setting, the senior division program is designed to foster independence. Activities include a wide variety of field trips, outreach opportunities and service to the community.

Extended Care

There’s even extended care. Camp Blue Sky is committed to meeting the needs of today’s parent. While the typical camp day runs from 9:00AM to 4:00PM Camp Blue Sky also offers extended morning and afternoon care. This makes it convenient for busy parents.
