Have you heard about the Commonwealth Women’s Soccer Association in Richmond? If not, you’re in for a treat!
The CWSA has been around since the early 1980s when volunteers and soccer lovers decided to ‘build a league of their own’. Although it is still run by volunteers, it is an extremely competitive adult women’s soccer league.
Young women 18 years of age or older are eligible to play. The games are played at AM Davis Elementary School in Chesterfield, but you don’t have to be a Chesterfield County resident to play. There are a diverse group of girls with varying skill levels in the league and they even have options for ‘substitute players only’ who want to test it out.
