Kate Hall, founder of Richmondmom.com, and all of us associated with Richmondmom.com have long been advocates of Safe Harbor – an organization created to support women and children coming from domestic violence situations.
We are excited to recognize Beth Bonniwell for her incredible advocacy for women through the Henrico Division of Police! Thanks to people like Beth, and organizations like The Altria Group Distribution Company, women have more help to escape the horrors of domestic violence.
Safe Harbor is an organization that helps men, women and children experiencing domestic violence (and sexual violence too). Their services are accessible to anyone dealing with these issues. Men who are victims of domestic violence really struggle to seek help as do other groups who are traditionally under-served such as Latino survivors, survivors who are LGBT-identified, older survivors, and others – but Safe Harbor is a safe place for everyone and anyone. Richmondmom.com applauds Safe Harbor for the work they do!
