Local author, Sharon P. Stanley, has just released her second children’s book Little Dog in the Middle of the Road just in time for holiday shopping.
Stanley, who lives and works on a farm in Ashland, loves connecting with young readers using animal characters. Her first children’s book Olive Ann, released last year is about a little rabbit with dreams of being big.
About Little Dog in the Middle of the Road
When his owner leaves on a trip, Little Dog is left with the dreadful Mrs. Thistleberry. That won’t do at all and he escapes from his yard to search for his owner. But as night falls, Little Dog regrets his rash decision as he sits all alone in the middle of the road. Perhaps if he sits long enough, his owner will find him. Sure enough, someone finds him, a nice person, but not his owner. She takes Little Dog to a nice house, but not his house. He sleeps in a nice bed, but not his bed. Feeling badly, he decides to do what he did before… once again sit in the middle of the road. Will it work this time? At the end of the story, Little Dog is finally reunited with his owner, and realizes this is something he will never do again.
Little Dog in Middle of the Road is available on Amazon.
