The 100 x $100 Cornerstone Club

Nurture_logo_horzWhat happens when people pool their energy and resources in support of a vision?

Dreams start to take shape.

Richmondmom.com worked with Nurture during our 2013 Dream Baby Shower Contest and we’re really excited to see where this wonderful start-up nonprofit is headed!   They’ve launched their first fundraising campaign to develop a dedicated maternity resource center focused on improving the health and wellbeing of Richmond’s childbearing families.

Nurture has already taken small, well measured steps towards this vision through the launch of pre- and post-natal yoga classes and their first professional development event earlier this month.  The Cornerstone campaign is seeking 100 people to donate $100 each.  This will allow Nurture to provide programs and services, to develop community engagement projects that improve the systems that serve our childbearing families, to commit to a lease (which would enable the launch of more classes), purchase necessary insurance, pay qualified instructors to provide services, or provide scholarships so that those services are available to childbearing families at every economic level.

It takes people who are willing to help build a strong and durable infrastructure that will allow this vision to flourish over the long haul. Willing to assist in doing the heavy lifting that is a necessary part of any beginning.

Consider joining the Cornerstone Club and pass this information along to others moms today!
