Holiday Item Sale at All Fired Up. Come in December 27th-31st to check out our post-Christmas Holiday Sale! All Holiday themed items will be heavily discounted, subject to availability. Check Richmondmom.com for more details and All Fired Up holiday events!

Noon Year’s Eve at the Science Museum. Bring in the noon year with a party complete with a countdown to noon, a drop of 2014 brightly colored bouncy balls and cooking in the Boost! Kitchen, complete with tasty, healthy samples! Included with exhibit admission, free for members.

Romp n’ Roll HO HO HO-pen New Year’s Eve celebration. A special Ho Ho Ho-pen Gym at the West End and Midlothian locations. Just before noon, children and parents will count down with a very special toast.

Stony Point Fashion Park Outdoor Ice Skating. Call 804-267-7425 for hours. Back by popular demand, kids of all ages will love to skate, spin, and glide on the outdoor skating rink.

New Year’s Eve Family Frolic Live at Lewis Ginter with entertainment and crafts, family activities in the afternoon. Free with regular admission; free for members. GardenFest of Lights afterwards (5 – 10 p.m.)

Le Masque Roaring 20’s Masquerade NYE Gala benefiting United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation. Dec. 31, 2013 9:00PM MAIN STREET STATION Experience the ultimate evening of enchantment and mischief at this
 New Year’s Eve Roaring 20’s Masquerade Ball in the heart of the city. Featuring entertainment from LIVE BAND and DJ. Drinks, hors d’oeuvres buffet, and champagne toast at midnight included.

First Night Virginia in Charlottesville. An annual celebration of the arts that began in Charlottesville in 1983 and is the second oldest First Night in the country, there will be many family-friendly activities on and around the historic Downtown Mall. 434-975-8269. 3pm-11:55pm at Downtown Mall.

New Year’s Eve Bash at CMoR. Featuring special games and activities including a parade with Seymour, a “Countdown to Noon” juice toast, and the drawing for the winner of TWO NEW CARS.

New Year’s Eve at Uptown Alley – Ring in the New Year at Midlothian’s awesome bowling alley. They’re having  a Noon Year’s Eve party for the whole family. Food, fun, games and more. Click for details.

Wrecking Ball New Year’s Eve at the Hippodrome. Tickets can be purchased online, at the door, or by calling the box office at 804.308.2913. Upon arrival guest will have the opportunity to enter in for a chance to win $1,000 from RVA ROCK$.

Drop the Ball at Art Works Studios and Galleries. Come dressed-to-impress and Drop the Ball at Art Works New Years Eve Party where you can rock to live music by the Robbin Steel Band .

Pump It Up New Year’s Eve Bash. At both locations, he kids will be bouncing, jumping and sliding in the New Year. They will enjoy wearing top hats & tiaras and toasting to 2014 with sparking cider and noisemakers.  $10 per child  in advance, $12 per child at the door.

Harlem Globetrotters in Richmond. The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will take fan interaction to a new level when the 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour comes to the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond on Tuesday, Dec. 31, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. Online voting is now open at harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see in their hometown.

RVA on Ice. Bring the family! On December 31 (New Year’s Eve) and January 1, 2014 (New Year’s Day) we welcome cartoonist Stanley Rayfield and Uncle Curt, the renowned balloon artist, to the rink from 2 to 4 pm. Come welcome in this holiday season and take home free crafts to enjoy, or have your face painted, a picture drawn, or wear an individualized “one of a kind” sculpture made out of balloons (on the dates listed).

First Night Williamsburg:  Just a short drive for a ton of fun! Live entertainment, food and non-alcoholic beverages, kids show and fireworks finale. Kids 5 and under are free, buttons $15 for all others.

January 1, 2014 – Happy New Year

The ACAC New Year’s Plunge. We dare you to jump in our (barely-heated) Rooftop Pool– brave the plunge, and we’ll give you a drink! We will also have food and drink specials, so please join us on the first day of 2014! 12:30 pm on the Rooftop on New Year’s Day.

Rhonda is the mother of two adult daughters and a grandmother to five wonderful grandchildren – and our only grandmother on staff. She spent 25 years in corporate healthcare managing prenatal and disease management programs.
