Family Friendly St. Patrick’s Day Events in Richmond

Richmond is festival obsessed… and hosting dueling St. Patrick’s Day events this year.
Which means there is absolutely no reason why you can’t get out and have a great time this weekend.
Here are some family-friendly ways to celebrate (and don’t forget to wear your green!)

Celtic Festival

Richmond Area Arts Council

Irish dancers, music, Irish stew and more!

Shamrock the Block

March 15, 2014 11:00 am- 8pm
1301 North Boulevard, Richmond , VA 23230

Shamrock The Block is FREE to attend, with great food, live music all day and plenty o’ green beverages for you to enjoy safely, so bring a designated driver. Last year, more than 30,000 people poured into the FIRST OUTDOOR EVENT of the season. With the move to the Boulevard, we’ve expanded the kid’s activities, the band lineup and have more things to do and see. We have the drinks, the music and the fun.

St. Paddy’s Palooza
FREE
March 15, 2014 12:00 pm
Innsbrook Pavilion
4901 Lake Brook Dr, Glen Allen , VA 23060

Live music, bands, food, ice cream, pony rides and a HOT AIR BALLOON. Join the expected 5,000+ people and watch volunteers have their heads shaved, bands perform and billowing bagpipes at Innsbrook’s fifth annual St. Paddy’s Palooza, presented by Lingerfelt Properties. St. Paddy’s Palooza is a fundraiser for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation. Volunteers raise money and show their support for finding cures for childhood cancer as they have their heads shaved on the main stage.
